Switzerland County Athletics

Hello, Pacer Nation! For those I have not had the opportunity to meet yet, my name is Joe Culbreath, and I am honored and excited to serve as the new Athletic Director for Switzerland County Schools. Since arriving, I have already had the chance to meet many of our student-athletes, coaches, staff members, families, and community supporters. One thing has become very clear to me: there is a tremendous amount of pride in Switzerland County Athletics, and I am excited to become part of the Pacer community. As we move into the new school year, my focus will begin with our student-athletes and their coaches. Every decision we make will be centered on providing our students with a positive experience while helping them grow through education-based athletics. Clear, consistent, and effective communication will be one of my biggest priorities. Our athletes, families, coaches, and community deserve to know where to find information and to feel confident that what they receive is accurate and up to date. As we near the start of the 2026/27 school year, we’ll share more about how Eventlink will become the central location for schedules, practice information, tickets, changes, and other important athletics updates. I believe athletics is one of the greatest tools we have to build character. Winning matters, and we will work hard to compete at a high level. But how we compete, how we treat others, how we respond to adversity, and how we represent Switzerland County matter just as much. That is what it means to Be a PACER. Be Proud. Be Accountable. Be Composed. Be Encouraging. Be Respectful. I look forward to working with our students, coaches, staff, families, and community as we continue building an athletic department our county can be proud of. Whether it is under the lights at a Friday night football game, on the soccer field, inside the gym, around the track, or at our ballfields in the spring, I hope you’ll take a moment to introduce yourself.
